SHNU: To protect and develop local Shanghai dialects, SHNU invited artists from Shanghai Theatre of Huju to stage classic drama Thunderstorm on Fengxian Campus of SHNU on November 24th.
The elegant singing style and beautiful melodies combined perfectly with the story plots of Huju arts. The SHNU students were thus attracted by the classic arts works of the Chinese famous playwright Cao Yu.
The performance ended in three hours. A student audience was quoted as saying that Huju represents a signal of Shanghai culture and also a non-material inheritance. The university students shall have more chances to access the arts through more performances of its kind.
