Sponsored by China National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences, the 2022 List of National Annual Program for Social Sciences Foundation and Youth Program has been launched: 29 SHNU programs have stood out, ranking the 5th in terms of total number of programs approved for universities in Shanghai, and 30th among all candidate institutes.
In sum, 4, 675 program have been funded in the final round, increasing by 33 as compared with that last year. Among them, 371 key programs have received funds of RMB 350, 000 Yuan each, and common programs have received funds of RMB 200, 000 Yuan each. The 29 SHNU approved programs involve one key program, 14 common programs and 14 youth programs. As regards the distribution of disciplines, these 29 programs include 6 in Chinese history studies, 5 in Chinese literature, 4 in world history, 3 in sociology, 2 in law studies and ethnology, and 1 in philosophy, foreign literature, linguistics, management, political studies, library information science, literature review and physical science each.
This year, the number of approved programs claimed the second in the application history of SHNU. For six consecutive years, the number of SHNU programs for application has been higher than 25. The consistency in high approved rates signals the solid foundation and strengths of research in humanities and social sciences disciplines of SHNU.
