Recently, SHNU team led by Ning Congqin from College of Chemistry and Materials Science published a research paper at Biiomaterials, a top international biological materials journal with the title Interactive effects of cerium and copper to tune the microstructure of silicocarnotite bioceramics towards enhanced bioactivity and good biosafety.
The paper stated that the chemical elements of cerium and copper could be utilized to tune the microstructure and silicocarnotite bioceramics to enhance bioactivity and biosafety. It was completed by an SHNU graduate and now a doctor of No. 9 People’s Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University, and co-authored by SHNU Professor Ning Congqin and Dr. Dai from No. 9 People’s Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University.
