Over 3, 500 SHNU students were active in the social practices of this summer vacation: social service (loving-care school, voluntary service, covid-19 combat service and interns at local social communities), and social survey.
The SHNU university students started voluntary education service at 135 schools in 15 districts of Shanghai, and 16 provinces of China. The service was held both online and on the scene. Also, the students’ online accompanying service was reported by such well-known media as Xinhua News Agency and Youth Shanghai.
Altogether, 22 SHNU students worked as interns for local social government communities in XUhui, Changning, Putuo, Hongkou and Jiading. Another 582 students’ volunteers sweated out in the fight against the pandemic.
All these efforts enabled the students to access the social work by bring into full play their knowledge expertise and innovation while assuming the responsibilities of the younger generation.
