On the morning of May 9th, the AI Era Education Policy and Research: A Comparative Perspective between China and Japan forum, part of the Master's Lecture Series, was held at Shanghai Normal University (SHNU). This forum is jointly organized by the Social Sciences Department of Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai Education Press, and the School of Education of Shanghai Normal University, and hosted by SHNU Learning Technology Laboratory . Chinese and Japanese experts are invited to exchange and discuss education policies and research under the background of artificial intelligence.
In the first stage of the forum, Professor Junichi Yamanishi gave a special report on the GIGA School project (Global and Innovation Gateway for All), systematically introducing the policy background, practical path, and phased achievements of Japan's education digital transformation. He focused on the promotion mechanism of one person, one terminal popularization, personalized learning, and collaborative learning, and conducted in-depth analysis on the application prospects and challenges of generative artificial intelligence in education.
In the thematic discussion session, the two professors engaged in an in-depth dialogue on the topic of how to implement the digital transformation of education.
