On April 20th, 2025, the annual conference of the Shanghai Big Data Social Application Research Association and the Digital Economy Seminar kicked off at SHNU School of Business. At the meeting, the Digital Economy Research Center of Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) was unveiled and established. This conference is jointly organized by the Shanghai Big Data Social Application Research Association and Shanghai Normal University, with the theme of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and the Future of Social Development. Involving annual conference main forums and round table forums, the conference brings together many experts and scholars from universities such as Fudan University, East China Normal University, Zhejiang University, etc.
The main forum was attended by Professor Yuan Wen, SHNU President, Professor Ma Yingjuan, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Federation of Social Sciences, and Professor Wu Libo, President of the Shanghai Big Data Social Application Research Association. Yuan Wen emphasized in her welcome speech that the deep integration of artificial intelligence and digital economy is profoundly reshaping social orders, and universities should shoulder the dual mission of technological breakthroughs and humanistic care. She used the practice of Shanghai Normal University as an example to introduce the importance of innovative exploration in the field of AI+education, and called on the academic community to jointly address the challenges of technological ethics and social governance.
At the opening ceremony, the Shanghai Normal University Digital Economy Research Center was officially unveiled and established.
In the keynote speech section, scholars conducted in-depth sharing on topics such as AI driven innovation in humanities and social sciences and trends in artificial intelligence finance.
This annual conference provides a multidimensional thinking path for the sustainable development of artificial intelligence and digital economy through the combination of academic seminars.
