The proposal for the SHNU Fengxian Campus Expansion Project has recently been approved.
The project is located within the Fengxian Campus of Shanghai Normal University (No. 100 Haisi Road, Fengxian District, Shanghai). The project plans to demolish 6, 226 square meters of old buildings on campus, and build a new science and engineering training building, gymnasium, cafeteria, student apartments, graduate apartments, underground garage while expanding a 35kV user station. The total construction area of the new building is about 82,000 square meters, including an above- ground construction area of about 70,000 square meters.
The Science and Engineering Training Building is equipped with various equipment laboratories and teacher-student discussion rooms, providing a place for teachers and students to rest, learn, and communicate. The gymnasium shall include basketball courts, volleyball courts, and various small sports space. The cafeteria will feature on specialized restaurants, self-service restaurants, and staff restaurants. The podium roof of the student apartment is planned to involvea garden-style planting roof, providing a pleasant outdoor activity environment for leisure.
The graduate apartment building adopts a four-slope roof, creating a harmonious and vibrant learning and living atmosphere.
