This classic selection of Chinese literature and culture incorporates the collective wisdom of a dozen of SHNU professors who usher the readers into the virtuoso Chinese essences of essays to acquire an in-depth perception of Chinese culture based on their academic charisma and research strengths.
The volumes of books fall into five categories, namely, selections of 300 Chinese poems of Tang Dynasty (A. D. 618--A.D. 907), Analyses of Han Yu’s Poems, Analyses of Bai Juyi’s Poems, Perceptions of Zi Zhi Tong Jian (History as a Mirror), and Analyses of The Dream of Red Mansions. Each volume contains four parts of prefaces, selected poems or essays, notes and comments.
The leading writers of the five books are all SHNU professors from College of Humanities: Zha Qinghua, Wu Xiaping, Zhu Yian, Liu Jiang, and Zhan Dan.
