The award list of 2020 National Science Micro-video Contest was launched and 100 works won stood out, including 2 from Shanghai. Particularly, one of the awarded works, Lotus Effects of Nano Self-cleaning, was created by SHNU team led by Jia Nengqin,SHNU professor.
Originating from escape infiltration of droplets on surfaces of lotus leaves, the works mimic this phenomenon by running a tiny experiment of nano self-cleaning and displayed the principles and applications by vivid animations. The SHNU awarded works promotes the public’s underdtanding of nanotechnology and inspire their scientific curiosity and interests.
