The research team led by Xiao Shengxiong, Director of SHNU National Key Lab of Resource Chemistry claimed a new breakthrough in single molecule electronics and published the latest academic paper titled Regio-and -Steric Effects on Single Molecule Conductance of Phenanthrenes at Nano Letters, a reputed international journal. The paper listed Shanghai Normal University as the first research institute, two SHNU doctoral degree candidates were the lead authors and SHNU professor Xiao Shengxiong were among the joint corresponding authors.
The paper aims at merging professional expertise in different domains: chemistry, physics, engineering and electronics and solving a series of theoretical and technological issues of traditional semi-conductors in the process of size reductions.
