The Lifelong Learning and Neuroscience Research Center of Shanghai Normal University Founded

On the morning of December 25th, Shanghai Normal University's Lifelong Learning and Neuroscience Research Center (herein referred to as the Center), a cross-border research platform integrating resources from education, psychology, and neuroscience, was unveiled and founded. It was attended by authorities from Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, SHNU President Yuan Wen, among others from the Center.

The Lifelong Learning and Neuroscience Research Center of Shanghai Normal University focuses on key areas such as lifelong learning cognitive mechanisms and promotion strategies, lifelong learning project design and evaluation, development of adult learners' characteristic potential, and promotion of elderly cognition and active aging. It is committed to the research of lifelong education theory and policy, teacher lifelong learning and development, adult learning and neuroscience mechanisms, and high-level talent cultivation.

According to Luo Junlong, Vice Dean of the School of Psychology and Director of the Center for Lifelong Learning and Brain Science Research at our university, the center has a wealth of talented individuals. Its members have undertaken various projects funded by the National Social Science Fund, the National Education Science 14th Five Year Plan National General Project, and the National Natural Science Foundation General Project, and have published articles in internationally renowned journals such as NeuroImage, Thinking Skills, and Creativity. In the future, the research center will serve as an open, cutting-edge, comprehensive, and high-level research platform for lifelong education and neuroscience development in the country.
