Sponsored by SHNU, Utah Valley University (UVU) in the USA and l'Université Clermont-Auvergne (UCA) in France and SHNU in China, the fifth International Education Forum was initiated at SHNU in Shanghai on December 8th. It was held both online and on the scene in Shanghai, Utah (USA), and Clermont-Ferrand (France) respectively.
Participants (university leaders, college deans and professors) from USA,France, Germany and China were invited to attend the conference, which was a great opportunity for scholars and authorities home and abroad to share experience and promote further cooperation as well as explore more ways of remote education in the backdrop of declining mobility.
Moreover, strategies adjustment in terms of lecturing techniques and modes, recruitment of teachers and teachers’ training, etc.
An English seminar was held at Room 201, D building of College of Business of SHNU, and was connected with some overseas experts to exchange ideas by way of ZOOM online. On December 9th, the forum was also held in Clermont-Ferrand (France) and SHNU Assistant Professor Jia Sixue, was invited to deliver a speech titled Enhancing the Relevance of a Globalized Casebook: Marketing Teaching Opportunities in the Crisis Context.
Since 2016, the International Education Forum was annually and alternately held in Shanghai and Utah. Since 2019, UCA of France joined to make the forum sponsored by three countries. It mainly aims at probing a chain of issues encountered by international development of university students in different political, social and economic backgrounds.
