Sponsored by China Foreign Language Disciplines Development for Universities, the 4th China National English Talent Show for Teaching Majors drew to a close on December 4th. It involved 78 outstanding undergraduate candidates from 38 universities in 19 provinces or regions to show their talents at the competition. Two SHNU students of English language teaching majors won respectively the first prize and the second prize.
All candidates are required to complete an Egnlish lecture concerning teaching plans and course designs in two weeks, apart from a five-minute talent show video. It aims at promoting the English teaching skills and education qualities, strengthening the exchanges and cooperation among teaching majors of different universities and fostering more qualified or outstanding English teachers in future.
