On the afternoon of December 6th, the donation ceremony for the Ji Dajing and Shan Fengmin couple's Jishan (meaning Accumulated Goodness)Scholarship was held at the Foreign Guest Building of SHNU. Lin Zaiyong, Secretary of the Party Committee of SHNU, Shan Fengmin, the donor and also an alumna of the SHNU College of Chemistry and Materials Science (CCMS), Jiang Mingjun, Vice President and Vice President of the Alumni Association, nearly 20 alumni of the SHNU CCMS, as well as representatives of the SHNU Foundation attended the event.
Lin Zaiyong expressed gratitude to Shan for the couple’s donation. He pointed out that the scholarship will play a role in promoting the development of academic disciplines, talent cultivation, innovation and entrepreneurship, rewarding excellent and disadvantaged assistance projects, and inspiring students to strengthen their skills.
Shan Fengmin reminisced deeply about her and her husband Mr. Ji Dajing's experience of self- funded study abroad and starting a business from scratch after graduating from National Taiwan Normal University more than forty years ago. She hopes to support the education cause of her alma mater (SHNU) through donations, and help more students strive for excellence.
She was gifted the alumni commemorative book of My University.
