The two-month-long China National Innovative Abilities Contest of Municipal Environmnet for University Students ended on December 1st. Three students from SHNU College of Environment and Geographical Sciences won the second prize as a group, two directors won Golden Instruction Prize and another team-leading teacher won the golden judge prize.
Sponsored by Virtual Reality Lab Education Innovation League, Ecological Environment, Production and Education League and Harbin Industrial University, the contest involved over 2, 400 students making up 797 teams from 158 universities to compete. It falls into chemical testing and VR simulating games. This marked the first time that SHNU candidates rivaled at such a contest and stood out to enter the final and win the second prize for groups in fierce competitions with their extraordinary teamwork spirit, sang-froid, courage and expertise.
