On December 5th, SHNU Library was commissioned by the Shanghai University Library Working Committee to release the 2023 Shanghai University Library Development Report (hereinafter referred to as the report) at the Shanghai Library Association 2024 Academic Annual Conference.
The report is led and organized by the Shanghai Municipal University Library and Information Work Committee, with the participation of various university libraries in Shanghai to provide relevant data. Since 2016, it has been mainly compiled by the Shanghai Normal University Library.
The report mainly involves an annual report that describes and analyzes the relevant situation of university libraries in Shanghai from five parts: library resource construction, reader services, human resources, hardware facilities, and academic research. The report aims to reflect the current development status of university libraries in Shanghai and the latest developments in the industry through data, helping various university libraries in the city formulate reasonable development strategies, and assisting the competent authorities in making decision-making references.
As a commissioned project by the Shanghai University Library Working Committee, SHNU library attaches great importance to the compilation of the Development Report. Every year, we recruit librarians with strong research abilities from various departments in the library and establish a dedicated team to carry out the work.
