Recently, the 2024 Jiangsu Graduate Science and Technology Innovation Practice Competition - International Chinese Language Teaching and Chinese Talent Competition, hosted by Education Guidance Committee for Literature Postgraduates of Jiangsu Province, was held at Jiangsu University. Two SHNU students Xu Weili and Lin Nan from ICCS (International College of Chinese Studies) won first and second prizes respectively in the Teaching Skills Competition, while Zhang Yuelin won third prize in the Chinese Talent Competition. More than 170 Chinese and foreign teachers and students from 17 universities including Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, Renmin University of China, Shanghai International Studies University and Shanghai Normal University participated in the competition.
It aims to improve the international students’ Chinese teaching skills and Chinese cultural dissemination abilities for those majoring in international Chinese education and other related fields. The ICCS of SHNU has long attached great importance to the cultivation of master's degree talents in international Chinese education, actively building platforms for teaching internships and apprenticeships for students, striving to stimulate their enthusiasm and potential to tell Chinese stories well and strengthen the voice power of China, and broaden their horizons for academic growth and career development.
