UNESCO Teacher Education Center-Academic Leadership Project of the Education Graduate School of Nazarbayev University Opens

On the morning of November 18th, the opening series of activities of the UNESCO Teacher Education Center Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education Academic Leadership Project hosted by the UNESCO Teacher Education Center and Nazarbayev University were successfully held. This project invites 22 experts from Kazakh universities, including Aida Sagintayeva, Vice Dean of Nazarbayev University, to participate in Shanghai. The aim is to provide knowledge, skills, and tools for the deans of Kazakh universities to effectively manage their schools and colleges in a rapidly changing educational environment.

The SHNU Vice President Jiang Mingjun stated in his welcome speech that the arrival of the Nazarbayev University delegation is a new starting point for cooperation between the two universities, and he hopes that both sides can jointly explore new opportunities and challenges in the field of education through this project.

Professor Aida Sagintayeva, Vice President and Dean of the Graduate School of Education at Nazarbayev University, shared the university's experience and prospects in the field of higher education during her speech. In the subsequent session, the attending expert leaders exchanged views on potential cooperation projects and discussed how to strengthen cooperation in education research, teacher training, and academic exchanges.

The SHNU President Yuan Wen delivered a speech reviewing the 70 years of development history of Shanghai Normal University from the perspective of academic leadership. The speech not only showcased the academic achievements and development goals of Shanghai Normal University, but also provided valuable experience and inspiration for future educational cooperation. In terms of international exchanges, President Yuan has provided new ideas and directions for cooperation between Shanghai Normal University and universities in Kazakhstan. Through student exchanges, collaborative scientific research, and faculty exchanges, both sides can jointly promote educational cooperation and achieve mutual benefit.

This project provides more possibilities for teachers and students from both sides to exchange and learn, promote the sharing of educational resources, jointly improve the quality of education, and inject new vitality into the education cooperation between the two countries.
