On the afternoon of November 9th, the new book Theory, Method, and Paradigm: Research and Writing of Art History in the New Era--World Photography History was launched at SHNU, followed by an academic seminar, hosted by the SHNU School of Film and Television Media.
Professor Sun Baoguo, Dean of the SHNU School of Film and Television Media, Professor Qi Qing, Vice Dean of the same school, Professor Zhang Hui, Vice Dean of the School of Art and Design at Xi'an University of Technology, among other professors from the School of Film and Television Media of SHNU. The participants also included Senior Editor Hu Yan from People's Posts and Telecommunications Press, Associate Professor Shen Jie from the School of Art and Design of Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology, and Associate Professor Gu Xin from the School of Fine Arts of East China Normal University, attended the seminar.
The author of the new book, Dai Fei, shared with the audience the origin, background, and various thoughts during the writing process of her book. The discussion revolves around the core value of exploring the history of photography in the construction of the photography profession, the challenges faced by the current photography discipline, and the prospects for the future development path of the photography profession.
