The Annual Meeting of SHNU Preliminary Education Group was held at SHNU on October 15thto celebrate the 67thanniversary of SHNU and attended by SHNU Party Secretary Lin Zaiyong, SHNU President Yuan Wen, and directors of Shanghai Education Association, Education Commissions of various districts of Shanghai, and representatives from different attached schools to SHNU.
Ever since the founding of SHNU 67 years ago, SHNU has been sticking to consistent development of the university by adapting to the needs of the metropolitan Shanghai, and thus fostered waves of talents in the fields of preliminary education. Actually, SHNU has been renowned as the cradle of outstanding teachers for Shanghai primary education: 9 Shanghai Education Pioneers and 29 Teaching Models have graduated from SHNU, and an amazing 60 percent of primary or middle school headmasters and an almost 70 percent of pioneering teachers have been incubated by our university.
It is decided at the meeting that 24 doctor’s degree candidates and assistant professors from SHNU, 12 pioneering teachers from attached schools to SHNU and 30 model teachers from five various suburbs of Shanghai preliminary education systems would be invited to join a seminar training that would last as long as one year.
