SHNU Shows Digital Education Exhibits at UNESCO Forum

To strengthen the African education and research ecosystem and build more inclusive and effective research partnerships, the African Union Commission and UNESCO jointly held an international forum on the theme of Transforming Knowledge for Africa's Future from September 30 to October 2, 2024 .

At the sub forum of China Africa Artificial Intelligence Education Policy Dialogue, Associate Researcher Wang Gong, part-time supervisor of the School of Education of Shanghai Normal University, delivered a keynote speech entitled Digital Transformation of Education and Ecological Construction in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, detailing Shanghai's work and achievements in digital transformation in the field of education. This speech not only showcases the profound accumulation of Shanghai Normal University in basic education services, especially its valuable experience in digital transformation of education and artificial intelligence education, but also provides useful references for global education reform and innovation.

Dr. Wang Gong also shared the construction and application of the teacher education model currently applied at Shanghai Normal University. Dr. Quentin Walton, Director of IICBA(International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa), and several experts expressed strong interest in this and look forward to deeper exchanges and cooperation in the future.

The presentation of Shanghai Normal University at this forum was impressive, including the innovative measures in basic education reform, active exploration of digital transformation, solid promotion of new educational infrastructure, and positive embrace of generative artificial intelligence.
