September 22nd and 23rd marked the dates of registration and enrolment of new undergraduates of SHNU. Over 5, 000 freshmen students arrived at SHNU and were received by volunteers with gracious welcome and surprises.
The SHNU Party Secretary Lin Zaiyong, Vice SHNU Party Secretary and Vice President Ge Weihua and SHNU Vice President Li Ye visited new freshmen’s dormitories on Fengxian Campus on September 23rd. The new students also received gift packs prepared by SHNU in advance. In the same day, Lin encouraged those unable to arrive on the enrolment day due to COVID-19 pandemic by chatting with them online.
This year, altogether 5, 065 undergraduates were enrolled by SHNU, with about 40.1 percent of them majoring in teaching (2,033 students.)
