The 2021 Opening Ceremony for SHNU International Students was held online and on the scene on September 17th and attracted more than 460 international students from 70 countries to participate, including the representatives from SHNU College of Humanities and SHNU College of Business, SHNU International College of Chinese Studies, SHNU College of Tourism and SHNU Department of International Affairs.
The SHNU Vice President Jiang Mingjun extended gracious welcome to all the overseas students who chose to start their learning life here. He also encouraged the students to fight against the pandemic that plagues the world and promote their understanding of Chinese culture while improving their academic abilities and professional knowledge as well.
The enrollment education composes an essential part of the opening ceremony and includes the introduction of main policies, such as courses arrangement, visa instructions and medical care policies, etc. So far, over 460 international students from 70 countries completed their new-term registration online, including almost 400 academic degree students.
