Recently, the China Scholarship Council(CSC) has released the admission list for the 2024 National High-Level University Public Graduate Program and Foreign Cooperation Program. SHNU has 11 graduate students who have successfully passed the evaluation of the National Natural Science Foundation and obtained the national scholarship for studying abroad. Among them, 7 students have been admitted to the joint training doctoral program and 4 students have been admitted to the doctoral degree program.
These students will study as joint doctoral students at the University of Leicester in the UK, the Higher School of Social Sciences in Paris, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, Swansea University in the UK, the University of Birmingham in the UK, and the Barcelona Tech (UPC) in Spain.
Another four students have received funding from the Doctoral Program to pursue their doctoral degrees at Osaka University in Japan, Bordeaux University in France, UPC Chemistry Research Institute in Spain, and ENSTA Paris, France.
The China Scholarship Council's government-sponsored study abroad program aims to select outstanding talents to study and exchange at top universities or research institutions abroad, cultivating high-level talents with international perspectives and innovative spirit. In recent years, the Graduate School/Graduate Student Affairs Department has attached great importance to the work of graduate student government scholarship, supported the internationalization of graduate education, expanded graduate education channels, and carefully organized and promoted project implementation.
In the future, SHNU will continue to promote academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation among graduate students, especially doctoral students, at high-level universities abroad, leading the way to enhance the international atmosphere and development of graduate education, and cultivate more high-quality, versatile, and innovative talents with international
perspectives.
