September 18th to 19th is the registration day for the 2024 freshmen of our university. The Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) witnessed 5,131 undergraduate freshmen and 3,924 graduate freshmen. Among them, there are 3,659 master's students and 265 doctoral students. In the past two days, school leaders Lin Zaiyong, Yuan Wen, Zhu Huijun, and Zhang Zhengrong have respectively visited the two campuses to understand the situation of new students arriving on campus.
The Information Office takes multiple measures to coordinate the relevant data of new student registration from multiple dimensions, providing data support for accurate management and services of new students. The Publicity Department, Student Affairs Department, Academic Affairs Office, and School Youth League Committee will carry out online and offline welcome publicity work in advance. The Academic Affairs Office introduced new students to tips on using various teaching resources, which gave them a better understanding of cultivating self-learning abilities. The finance department provides answers to students' payment inquiries and provides consultation on student insurance. The Asset Department, Information Office, University Hospital, Reception Service Center and other departments work together to provide accommodation, medical and other services for new students and parents who arrive early. The logistics service center has carefully prepared and done a solid and meticulous job in various logistics service support work, providing safe, comfortable, warm, and high-quality environment layout, transportation connections, catering supply, living security and other services for new students and parents on campus.
