At the meeting, President Yuan Wen announced the list of outstanding awards and commendations for Shanghai Normal University in 2023-2024, as well as the commendation decision for faculty and staff who have been engaged in educational work for 30 years. A group of individuals at the national, provincial, municipal, and school levels who have made outstanding contributions to the development of SHNU had been commended at the meeting.
Yuan Wen stated that the 40th Teacher's Day is a grand holiday for all teachers, and she extends high respect and holiday greetings to the faculty and staff. She pointed out that this year is an important milestone in the 70 year development of the school. The school focuses on the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, adheres to the first standard of teacher ethics and style, improves the mechanism of talent attraction and education, creates a good atmosphere of respecting teachers and valuing education, and provides strong guidance for the construction of local high-level universities.
