Sponsored by China Floral Plants Association Ferns Branch, China Plants Society Ferns Committee, and China Wildlife Protection Association Ferns Committee, the 2021 China Ferns Academic Seminar was held at SHNU and attracted over 80 ferns experts, scholars and students to attend.
The conference was held both online and on the scene. About 21 scholars, masters’ and doctoral degree candidates spoke at the conference and shared their research results in recent years.
The participants were also shown around the 10th China Flower Expo at Congming, the island in the northern Shanghai. It is agreed that ferns play important parts in species diversification, systematic breeding and evolutions, natural products development, multiplication and growth, ecological protection and repairs, gardening designs and development of related products, etc.
