Recently, the Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism issued a notice on the results of the review of the first to fifth batches of national key institute for protecting ancient books, and the SHNU library successfully passed the review.
The university library was approved as among the second batch of national key protection units for ancient books and the first batch of Shanghai key protection units for ancient books in 2009, relying on abundant ancient book resources. Under the guidance of the National and Shanghai Ancient Books Protection Center, and with the support of the school, the SHNU library has played an active role in protecting, studying, and revitalizing ancient books. Moreover, the SHNU library has been conferred the official WeChat account of the National Ancient Books Protection Center and the Shanghai Cultural and Tourism Bureau.
