On the morning of June 6th, the graduation ceremony and Diploma-conferring ceremony of Shanghai Normal University for the year 2024 was held at the western playground of Xuhui campus. School leaders, teacher representatives, and all 2024 graduates attended a solemn and exciting ceremony. Alumni and parents from different parts of China watched the graduation ceremony online, with the viewership of over 150,000. Zhu Huijun, Deputy Secretary of the SHNU Party Committee and SHNU Vice Principal, presided over the ceremony.
The sonerous sounds of the Chinese drum kicked off the ceremony. Nine flag guards from the SHNU Veterans College escorted the national flag in strong and uniform steps. The video short film leads everyone to revisit the growth and struggles of graduates. At the ceremony, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, Lin Zaiyong, announced the decision to commend Outstanding graduates of Shanghai Higher Education Institutions and Shanghai Normal University in 2024.
Principal Yuan Wen sends a heartfelt message to all graduates to cultivate their own new quality competitiveness. The curiosity to continue questioning, the desire to explore new knowledge, the courage to innovate, and the ability to embrace uncertainty in order to make wise choices will become their core competitiveness, and they will learn and grow through practice.
On stage and off stage, there are 21 colleges, and more than 280 representatives of teachers from various colleges are serving as the heads and ears of graduates. I am very happy that on this important day, my teachers and classmates have witnessed my happy moment, said Jin Minxian, a graduate student of the School of Education.
With the sound of drums and drums, the 2024 graduating class counselors and representatives sent their best wishes to over 8,000 graduates.
