On the morning of May 30th, the second annual meeting of the Yangtze River Delta Preschool Education Development Alliance, jointly organized by Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai Kindergarten Association, and Hongkou District Education Bureau, was successfully held at Shanghai Fuxing Senior High School.
Themed with Science Education Leading the Future and Mental Health Education Guarding the Way, the conference attracted 390 experts, scholars, and pioneering educators from universities and research institutions across the country to jointly explore and promote the innovation and development of early childhood science education (including STEAM education) and mental health education, with the aim of deepening collaborative innovation in early childhood education in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Li Ye, Vice President of Shanghai Normal University; Chen Xiaojie, Deputy District Mayor of Hongkou District, Shanghai; Yin Houqing, Vice President of China Education Society and President of Shanghai Education Society; Qu Jiajie, Deputy Director of the Childcare Work Office of Shanghai Education Commission; Sun Lei, Director of Shanghai Hongkou District Education Bureau, attended the opening ceremony.
Li Ye, Vice President of SHNU, pointed out in his speech that in order to deepen the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, preschool education is both the starting point and the foundation. He stated that technological innovation is the core element for developing new quality productive forces, and science education must start from childhood.
This year's annual meeting will last for 2 days and attendees will walk into 7 local kindergartens to experience firsthand the practical research process of scientific education or mental health education there, and gain an intuitive understanding of the practical research results in preschool education in the Yangtze River Delta region.
The successful convening of the annual meeting of the Yangtze River Delta Preschool Education Development Alliance not only provides a platform for communication and cooperation among preschool educators in the region, but also makes positive contributions to promoting innovation and development of regional preschool education. This marks a solid step taken by the Yangtze River Delta Preschool Education Development Alliance in promoting regional education integration and improving education quality.
