On the morning of May 27th, SHNU held a strategic cooperation framework signing ceremony with the People's Government of Putuo District. The two sides jointly explored new mechanisms for district education cooperation and development, further promoting the high-quality and balanced development of Putuo District education. The bilateral efforts of jointly establishing the Second Affiliated Experimental School to Shanghai Normal University have been initiated since 10 years ago.
At the ceremony, Wang Jue, Deputy District Mayor of Putuo District, and Zhang Zhengrong, Vice President of SHNU, jointly signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement of SHNU under the Putuo District People's Government of Shanghai.
This agreement highlights two key areas of cooperation: first, to jointly build high-quality public schools with innovative talent cultivation. The second is the newly established Shanghai Normal University Putuo Basic Education Group. The group takes Yichuan Middle School (a demonstrative experimental high school) in Shanghai as the leading school, including seven schools including the newly established Shanghai Normal University Affiliated School, Shanghai Normal University Affiliated Second Experimental School, Shanghai Private New Huangpu Experimental School, Zhongshan North Road First Primary School, Luochuan School, and Yichuan Middle School Affiliated School in Putuo District, Shanghai. From the perspective of academic stage, there is a vertical connection between elementary, junior, and senior high education; The project aims to build a closely knit basic education group with a certain influence in the metropolitan Shanghai.
