On May 14th, the second meeting of the organizing committee for the 6th Shanghai Youth Teachers' Teaching Competition and the 7th National Young University Teachers' Teaching Competitionn was held. Yang Haiyan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed and approved the list of winners and outstanding organizational awards, as well as the list of contestants representing Shanghai in the 7th National Young University Teachers’ Competition.
Yang Yi from the SHNU School of Education won the special prize in the Social Sciences group, Wang Yijia from the SHNU School of Humanities won the first prize in the Humanities group, Sun Zhou from the SHNU School of Marxism Studies won the second prize in the Special Group for Ideological and Political Theory courses, Chen from the SHNU School of Foreign Languages won the second prize in the Humanities group, and Liu Yu from the SHNU School of Mathematics and Science won the third prize in the Basic Discipline Group of Natural Science. Among them, Yang Yi and Wang Yijia won the admission ticket to the national competition round. After intense competitions, Yang Yi stood out and won, and would represent Shanghai in the national competition held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in August. Meanwhile, SHNU has once again been awarded the Excellent Organization Award.
The 6th Shanghai Youth Teacher Teaching Competition was successfully held at SHNU from April 19th to 21st. After multiple rounds of selection, 269 contestants from 62 universities in the city signed up for this biennial competition, reaching a new record high in the number of candidates.
