Sponsored by the Shanghai Education Commission and hosted Shanghai Normal University (SHNU)l, the 16th Computer Application Skills Competition for University Students in Shanghai was held at SHNU from April 29th to May 12th, 2024.
At the opening ceremony, Li Ye, Deputy Director and Vice President of the organizing committee of the competition, delivered a speech on behalf of SHNU. He stated that computer technology and artificial intelligence technology have penetrated into various fields, becoming the core driving force for promoting a new round of global industrial transformation.
921 teams from 36 universities in Shanghai have signed up for the competition, with a wide variety of candidates’ works covering various fields of economic construction, social development, national defense construction, and daily life. After preliminary evaluation and final debates, 31 first prize teams, 120 second prize teams, 243 third prize teams, and 85 winners’ teams were ultimately selected. The award-winning works of this competition will be selected and recommended to rival at the final of the 2024 China University Computer Design Competition.
This competition is an important showcase of innovative practical education for undergraduate students in various universities in Shanghai.
