In order to further promote the spirit of model workers, laborers, and craftsmen, accelerate the construction of a high-quality workforce that meets the various talent needs of economic development, social governance, and other fields, and promote the brand construction of “Xiancheng Craftsman (a brand of Excellent City and Excellent Governance)”, the Fengxian District Federation of Trade Unions in Shanghai has carried out the 2024 Xiancheng Craftsman cultivation and selection program. The SHNU Professor Zhao Guisheng from the School of Film, Television and Communication, and Professor Zhu Jian from the School of Environmental and Geographical Sciences have been awarded the title of Xiancheng Craftsman.
Professor Zhao is a member of the Animation and Digital Art Committee of the Chinese Film and Television Society for Universities, a creative mentor for the Beautiful World International College Student Media Art Festival, and a judge for the Beijing International Film Festival. He also serves as a production assistant to complete the filming of works such as Pingyao Ancient City and Dong Ethnic Song. In 2023, he was awarded the title of Chinese Young Animator, and is the inheritor of the traditional crafts of Chinese ink wash animation and brushed Paper.
Professor Zhu Jian, Shanghai Science and Technology Pioneer, Shanghai Shuguang Scholar, and Shanghai Distinguished Professor, is mainly engaged in the construction of multi-level structured nano materials and their application in environmental purification and low-carbon green hydrogen. He has been involved in over 10 scientific research projects, published over 50 SCI papers as the corresponding or first author, and published over 30 papers in journals with an impact factor greater than 5.0, and applied for 16 authorized patents.
