On the afternoon of April 15th, Jeroen Prinsen, the Asia Pacific Regional Director of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, and Zhang Ping, the QS North China Regional Director, visited SHNU. The visitors were received by SHNU President Yuan Wen, and relevant officials from the Development Planning Department, SHNU Science and Technology Division, and SHNU International Exchange Division.
Prinsen stated that QS is willing to deepen cooperation with Shanghai Normal University and provide professional advice on world university rankings for its international promotion. At the meeting, both parties reached an agreement on cooperation in organizing annual conferences, participating in education exhibitions, and sharing international resource information.
The QS World University Rankings is the annual world university ranking published by Quacquarelli Symonds, an international education market consulting firm in the UK. In 2010, it was recognized by the International Association for Academic Rankings and Excellence (IREG) established by the University Rankings International Expert Group (IREG), and is one of the rankings with the most participating institutions and the widest global influence, along with Times Higher Education, U S. News and Soft Science Academic Rankings.
