CI of Mizzou Attends China Museum Day and China Student Day Activities


Last weekend, CI (Confucius Institute) of Mizzou (University of Missouri) attended activities of Museum Day and China Day. The cultural experience program won much acclaim from local teachers, students and residents. The CI teachers and volunteers were also received by officials from the Chinese consulate in Chicago.


The theme of China Museum Day at Mizzou is Women Making History. Three distinguished women of different ages of China were introduced to the audiences. Meanwhile, cultural shows were presented, including Guzheng (a traditional Chinese string instrument), and Taiji (shadow boxing), etc. Tea drinking were accompanied by TV clips shows.


Also, about 200 Chinese overseas students, scholars and their families joined the China Student Day Program of Mizzou on which a sense of security and self-protection awareness was shared in the speech from the university police official James Young.
