On March 2nd, the Open Adult Education Freshmen's Convocation and Orientation for the Class of 2024 was held in the auditorium of Shanghai Normal University, and it was simultaneously live-streamed, marking the smooth start of the spring semester of open adult education.
The SHNU Vice President Kang Nian, and Sheng Aijun, Director of the Continuing Education Management Office, attended the opening ceremony. Mr. Sheng presided over the opening ceremony, and 6,445 new students, parent representatives, academic administrators, class advisors participated in the event in person and online.
Mr. Kang represents the school in welcoming new students from the 2024 to join the big family of Shanghai Normal University. He pointed out that the students must cultivate patriotism and aspirations, strive to be the pursuers of the times, and bravely shoulder the responsibilities; also, the students must be firm in self-improvement, diligent and eager to learn, adapt to changes, refine their moral characters, act as a trendsetter, and forge ahead with determination while seeking truth and knowledge.
Altogether 293 courses would be provided for 2,366 classes with a total number of learners amounting to 9,5737.
Students are studying in the “XueSi Classroom“ of adult higher education, with a total of 293 courses, 2,366 classes, and a total number learners amounting to 95,737. The Continuing Education College will carefully organize all teaching work for the spring semester of 2024 to ensure smooth and orderly teaching.
