Recently, approved by China Ministry of Education for 2020 New Majors Plan in Universities, two new majors of SHNU have been successful applied: arts management and calligraphy. The students would be enrolled this September.
The major of arts management aims at developing students’ knowledge and skills of film and its relevant industry, cultural administrative management and cultural arts enterprise operation, as well as legal regulations, etc.
The other new major of calligraphy belongs to SHNU College of Fine Arts which has started to enroll students of China handwriting and painting since 1999 and cultivated over 200 bachelor’s degree holders of this field. This year, the college would start to enroll students of handwriting, which would exert a positive and far-reaching role on inheriting and reverberating the Shanghai calligraphy and cultures.
