Sponsored by Shanghai Global Cities Research Institute and Shanghai Normal University, the seminar on Quarterly of Global Cities Development was held at SHNU on December 20th and involved over 10 editors-in-chief and directors of more than 10 journals. The President of SHNU Journal Society and the Editor-in-Chief of SHNU Journal and the Quarterly of Global Cities Development (Chinese and English Version), presided over the seminar.
Founded in 2020, the journal mainly studies the international comparison, urban economy and industrial development, urban management, cities innovation, resilience and cultural tourism, etc. Over the last three years, this quarterly journal, which features the dissemination of intercultural and interdisciplinary research achievements, is becoming a key academic platform for scholars home and abroad to exchange the latest development in the field of global city research.
The seminar ended in heated discussions. The experts put forward some insightful suggestions for the next five-year development of the Quarterly and hoped that it could be listed in the national journal directory at an early date.
