According to the announcement of QAA Global (The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education) published on November 3rd, Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) has been approved the IQR (International Quality Review) implemented QAA Global for higher education. According to that announcement, SHNU has met the all the ten criteria required by ESG (European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area).
Besides, QAA Global has particularly indicated the two best practices of SHNU: one one hand, effective management measures on students’ education and practical skills development; on the other hand, improvement of education monitoring and supervision mechanism.
Approval from QAA Global marks a kernel opportunity for SHNU to work towards a more international orientation of university development, discipline constructions and education quality upgrading.
After three stages of demanding evaluations in the last two years, SHNU has wound up winning the accreditation, which signals that the education standards of SHNU have been internationalized to act as a university of global reputation and impacts.
