Approved by Shanghai Appraisal Committee of Outstanding Research Results of Social and Philosophical Sciences, the awarded list has been released: Zhu Ruixi, SHNU professor, has won the academic contribution prize, the highest prize in the circle of philosophical and social sciences in Shanghai (altogether 4 winners). He won the title for his works Collected Essays of Zhu Ruixi, and also becomes the third professor winning such a prize in SHNU history. The Professors Zhang Minxuan and Zhang Yunyi won the first prize of Outstanding Research Results, and another 14 SHNU professors won the second prize of Outstanding Research Results.
Professor Zhu is known as one of the main scholars in the field of Chinese political systems in Song Dynasty ( A.D. 960-1279) and pioneers in evaluating the historical positions of Song Dynasty. He also organized a group of researchers to publish the collected essays of scholars at that time, as well as local chronicles and inscriptions. His works Included 185 essays of various genres, such as academics works, essays, dictionaries, thesauruses, cooperative works and antique books.
Professor Zhang Minxuan’s team won the first prize by centering around ways of narrating Chinese stories by exemplifying the sino-British mathematics teachers’ exchange programs.
Professor Zhang Yunyi won the first prize of works for studying the interactions and fusion of Chinese and western Marxism from the perspectives of Marxism localization in China.
