The 35thSHNU Sports Games kicked off on Fengxian Campus on October 25th and involved over 3,000 teachers and students from 29 institutes to compete in such sports events as gymnastics competitions and brisk walking, etc. The SHNU leaders, including Lin Zaiyong, Yuan Wen, Zhang Yejiang, Jiang Mingjun and Li Ye also attended the opening ceremony.
The field and track events, fun sports, elbow planking, campus round-trip walking and fire extinguishing attracted the sports fans most. These SHNU athletes invested their enthusiasm and efforts in illustrating the significance of stamina and cooperation. After a whole day of fierce racing, the top three students candidate teams are SHNU College of Information and Mechanical Engineering, SHNU College of Chemistry an Material Sciences, and SHNU College of Life Sciences.
The top three staff candidate teams are Shanghai Experimental School Attached to SHNU, SHNU College of Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering and SHNU School of Education.
The annual sports marks an indicator of how the SHNU members have carried out their physical exercises in their daily life, and meanwhile, a display of their athletic skills and physical strength.
