Sponsored by Shanghai Teachers’ Union, Shanghai Association of Calligraphy and Painting for Teachers, and Shanghai Polytechnic University, the 8th Shanghai Brush Writing, Blackboard Writing and Pen-writing Contest was held on October 14th, and 333 candidates from 64 universities and institutes participated in the contest.
Six SHNU teacher candidates rivaled at the fierce competition at which all of them brought into full play their calligraphy talents. Finally, Ge Fuchang from SHNU College of Fine Arts won the second prize for brush writing, Bai Xuefei from ICCS (International College of Chinese Studies) won the second prize for pen-writing and Xie Yinxiao from the Fourth Middle School Attached to SHNU won the third prize for Blackboard Writing.
