From September 24th to 28th, Zhang Yejiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of Shanghai Normal University, led a delegation to Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) for interscholastic exchanging visit. The visitors also included representatives from the Development Planning Department, the International Exchange Department, the School of Architectural Engineering, the Department of Civil Engineering of SHNU.
Professor Andrea Nolan, President of ENU, gave a warm welcome to Zhang Yejiang and his delegation and they exchanged constructive views on the progress of the cooperation projects. The delegators from SHNU held a warm talk with SHNU students who are currently studying at ENU in their final year. Zhang exhorted his students to work hard to learn professional knowledge, adapt themselves to different cultures and do physical exercise to stay healthy. The delegation also visited the Architecture and Innovation Centre of ENU in Glasgow to learn cutting-edge architectural concepts in the industry and benefited a lot. During the visit, the two sides held a joint project management conference, and the participants had heated discussion on how to improve education quality, promote joint Master’s Degree programs, engineering certification, and strengthen cooperation in scientific research projects. (During this visit and exchange, b) Both sides reached a consensus on how to enhance the friendship between the two universities and promote the development of cooperative education programs.
