The 20th Shanghai Education Exposition was held at Shanghai Exhibition Center on September 15th, with the theme Creating Top-level Education and Pursue Dreams of Building Stronger Nations. Yuan Wen, SHNU President, was invited to deliver a theme report on Artificial Intelligence and Future Education.
Yuan briefed on her thoughts concerning university education reform in the backdrop of AI and some of her practices in related fields. While encountering transformations brought forward by AI, university education should establish the goals of setting moral standards and cultivating comprehensive talents of various merits. The altered learning environment, education content and patterns, along with AI analyses and policy-making should be adopted. The prerequisite for generative AI to produce transformations is that AI could be aligned in value.
As one of the main provider of Shanghai basic education teachers, SHNU has been exploring the modernized process of Shanghai basic education. The SHNU exhibition hall features innovations in disciplines development, talents cultivation and scientific breakthroughs.
