Sponsored by SHNU and Edinburgh Napier University (ENU), the UK, the 1st Academic Seminar on Civil Engineering was held at Conference Room of SHNU Department of International Affairs on Xuhui Campus on September 6th. It was attended by Naomi Graham, Vice President of ENU, Johnson Zhang, Director of Computer, Engineering and Architecture Environment, SHNU Vice President Jiang Mingjun and representatives from SHNU College of Civil Engineering, etc.
Naomi reviewed on the cooperative education history and abundant achievements and expected that SHNU, as a much-respected partner, will expand cooperation in relevant fields. The success of this seminar marks that the bilateral cooperation between SHNU and ENU has entered a new stage in academic research, and more cooperative opportunities for Master and Doctor Degree candidates are under the discussion. More academic activities are expected to be held regularly to promote further cooperation in more domains.
The seminar concerns such avant-garde areas as new materials, new structures, new theories and new technologies.
