Aiming at promoting the convenience of campus resources and accelerating the process of merging campus webs and 5G network, Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) has tested some basic functions of 5G technologies with three largest Chinese network providers: China mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom.
Boasting its low delay，large scale，and reliability，5G is likely to distinguish clients’ needs with intelligence, and fuses 5G network and campus website in perfection. With secruity, high-speed and seemless access to the internet, this upgrading program would expand the coverage of campus LAN (local area network), thus facilitating the construction of a more intelligent campus network.
Until now, SHNU has completed the network interfacing with China Telecom, and interactions with other network providers have also been under way. Next, the SHNU Information Office would continue to explore more on 5G and AI so as to establish a wider, lower delayed, more reliable, more stable and boundless 5G campus network and a more digitalized university with more optimal information technology.
