On July 27th, Lin Zaiyong, SHNU Party Secretary, arrived at Caohejing Street, Xuhui District of Shanghai, for an appointment with students volunteers serving the Loving-Care for Children Program. He was also received by representatives from Caohejing Street Government, Xuhui District Government, and SHNU alumni etc.
This year, over 6,000 SHNU students volunteers provided 60 selected courses which include physical education, calligraphy, and fine arts, etc. Lin also watched the class videos of martial arts courses, a voluntary program offered by SHNU students from College of Physical Education.
This summer, various forms of social practices activities became means for SHNU students to expand their vision and improve social skills: 220 loving-care schools were established, 50 museums or venues service programs, 306 social investigtions, 169 visits to revolutionary sites. Moreover, 82 students were selected to work as interns at counties or districts of local governments, and 60 students participated in social communitiy action programs.
