Recently, Professor Chu Jifeng, from SHNU College of Mathematics, published at Advances in Mathematics (an international core journal), Minimizations of positive periodic and Dirichlet eigenvalues for general indefinite Sturm-Liouville problems, together with Meng Gang, assistant professor from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Zhang Zhi, a doctoral student from Fudan University.
Taking advantage of basic theories and calculations of differential equation, Chu’s paper provides solutions to such problems as the eigenvalues minimization of Camassa-Holm Equation. The paper is rated as an important advancement and approach of a high technical level by the editors.
The SHNU professor Chu is committed to the research on ordinary differential equation and dynamical system and has won a series of talents prize, including the New Century Talents Support Plan, National Qin Yuanxun Mathematics Prize, Huo Yingdong University Teachers’ Prize and first prize of Shanghai Higher Education Teaching Results, etc. His paper can be reached by clicking https://doi.org/10.1016/j.aim.2023.109272 .
