On June 26th, the 2023 Military Training for Undergraduates was initiated at the Grand Theatre on Fengxian campus. It was broadcast live through video at the Music Hall on Xuhui campus, as well as the multimedia classrooms on both campuses.
The ceremony was kicked off in resounding yet solemn national anthems. This year, all the military trainers would be composed of university students retired from military service. These trainers also performed close-quarter capturing skills which won the applause of the students ensemble on the scene.
It is noted that the military training group would be made up of 42 teams and 9,899 student trainees, 114 instructors and 105 teaching officers. The training would include regular drill formations, bandage and rescuing, and martial exercises, etc. The trainers are expected to temper their wills and minds by means of competitive yet meaningful military camp experience.
